PIPI of Pipi Art for Everyday Living – has joined us at Studio 1867 as a resident designer. Her lively, generous and colourful florals and botanical designs are gracing a new collection of art fabrics found exclusively at Studio 1867.
Creative since her beginning, Pipi grew up in an immigrant family of makers and creators who found happiness in the simplicity of handmade tradition.
Both her Grandmother and Mother used fabric as their way of expressing themselves. Pipi’schildhood was steeped in this Latvian colour, pattern making, music and ancestral folklore, which still influences her work today.Functionality is an important component to all that she creates, making everyday a special occasion.
Come to Studio 1867 at Whippletree Junction to share in the whimsy of her printed and hand painted textiles. Or, sign up for one of her popular fabric painting workshops and try your hand at creating a one-of-a-kind original art for everyday living. Sign up here for any of her upcoming “Painting on Fabric” classes.
